Honor Freedom, Remember 9-11

Let us ponder the idea of freedom.
We so often take for granted the simple things
in life we have grown so accustomed to
in our day to day lives.
Running water that is drinkable.
Flip the switch and we have lights,
our food is kept fresh with refrigeration.
We can walk down the street wearing most anything we want.
We can go to our favorite church, IF we so choose to.
WE can read our Bibles!

So many people on this earth are not allowed these basic freedoms that we enjoy.
To be harmed or even killed for reading in some places.
Woman that MUST be covered head to toe with dark cloth when out in public, no matter the temputure.
So many places that do not even have fresh drinking water.
Where they need to walk for hours to get water that is dirty.

We must not take our freedoms for granted.

So many men and women have given their lives for this precious thing we know as freedom.

Todd Beamer and others knew they would not survive yet they called to God for salvation and took down those terrorist on flight 93,
knowing they were saving many lives by doing so while losing their own.

The many firefighters that gave their lives in order to save a few in New York,
and at the Pentagon.
America lost a lot of it's citizens on that day.
Bravery stood tall, United again we stand!!

We must not forget!

How did you feel on September 11,2001?
Were you in shock?
Numb?
Frightened?
ANGRY?
Can you remember the feelings that soared through you as that day became etched in our minds?
HOW MANY DAYS did it take for you to return to "normal"?.. A week?.. A month?.. Ever?
Did you look at your life and think, I am so lucky to live in this country? I have so much compared to others in this world. I will give back to my community to show my patriotism. I will wave Old Glory from my home, my car, my workplace! I will give my own blood to help save those who were injured yet survived. I will help old ladies cross the street, give food to the poor. Look in on my neighbor to be sure he is ok and has what he needs.

This is what America is about!
United We Stand!!
Together we are strong!
Helping one another!

Let us Honor those who lost their lives one year ago.
Honor those who gave of themselves!
Let us Pray for those who were left behind!
Give them Courage to face another day!
TEACH our children the moral values of kindness, forgivness, peacefulness and Love.

WE ARE A NATION OF ONE!

ONE PEOPLE,WE ARE AMERICANS!

American Girls
And American Guys
We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recognize
When we see Old Glory flyin'
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night
When we lay down our head.
My daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
Till the day that he died
He wanted my mother
My brother
My sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free.
Now this nation that I love
Has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flyin' in
From somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the Fourth of July.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringin' her bell
And it'll feel like the whole wide world
Is rainin' down on you
Brought to you courtesy
Of the Red, White and Blue.
Oh justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
And you'll be sorry that you messed with
The U.S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name
At the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shakin' her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringin' her bell
And it'll feel like the whole wide world
Is rainin' down on you

Of the Red, White and Blue.
Oh, oh, of the Red, White and Blue
Oh, oh, of the Red, White and Blue.
